The prices just keep going up

Are we getting the most for what we pay for?

Every human being is driven by hunger. I, for one, become extremely hungry and soon as the clock turns twelve. So I am especially thankful to places like Java Jitters and the cafeteria in Danner hall the students of Delta college are able to appease that growing crave that harbors in their over worked bodies. Unfortunately, a little price raise may stop students from going to their favorite eating spots located on campus.

While the price raise has gone unnoticed by some students, there are a few students who are quite upset by the change in prices. Second semester student, age 19, Andrea Fisher happened to be very offended by the price change.

"It is completely unfair why they raised the prices. It is a bunch of crap, why not raise the prices ten cents more instead of a quarter. It is a whole lot easier to have an extra dime than an extra quarter." said Fisher.

Cafeteria employees defend the price raise by stating that it is a reasonable price change and because it was necessary. Apparently, theft is big within Danner hall's cafeteria and this could be a contribution toward the cost.

"The prices have gone up because students are stealing from the café. So that is a lost of food that has to be covered." said cafeteria employee Sarah Maxey.

Another cafeteria employee, Kathy Bean, does not see what all the fuss is about and claims that there has not been a drastic change.

"The cost of living has gone up and there is theft every single day. Plus, these prices are still best you are going to find compared to other colleges." stated Bean.

Second semester student, Wes Garside twenty years old, disagrees with Bean and feels that it is nonsense.

"Cost of living is always going to be high but that does mean that every time there is a raise in the cost of living that the cost of the grilled cheese sandwiches have to go up too, this is ridiculous." exclaimed Garside

Fisher also does not believe the whole "cost of living" excuse. She finds the statement to be entirely false. In response to Bean's statement Fisher said,
