Vince Harper, ASBG board of trustee representative, gave a report on last week's board of trustees' meeting during the ASBG's weekly meeting Nov. 7.
"They are working on the college campus in Tracy. They are also finalizing the new building for the admissions building," Harper said.
"The Gateway Building is a building that Delta has had in the works for two years, and what it's going to be is a central area, that has all the major offices all in one area. They are all going to be in one building and it will be easy for students to access," ASBG President Pierre Tapia said.
"The ideal is that when you come to Delta you can go to one building and you can take care of everything right there, rather then go from building to building," Vice President Elliot Castro said.
Other items discussed, were the Locke Lounge; last week it was discussed because there have been reports of students misbehaving there.
"I would like to start a committee and then write a letter," Tapia said. ASBG officers on the committee will be Marcos Villanueva, Chris Luna and Sarah Dionne. The three members will meet this week and report back to the board next week.
The Club Night committee is still working out the final details for the event, with a scheduled date of Nov 13, at 5 p.m. at Delta and then will move to Cal Skate.
This week's college hour was supposed to be a freestyle contest, but because of problems with students in the quad area, the board is going to change it to something else.
