San Joaquin Valley is in for a treat, as West Valley Bowl in Tracy is proud to host the Second Annual Pro Am Bowling Tournament Saturday, Sept. 17 at 4:30 p.m. Locals are encouraged to come and play against decorated senior pro bowlers.
According to Ed Bourdase, a three-time PBA (Professional Bowling Association) champion and the tournament director, a handful of top senior bowlers will visit, play with and ask advice. The talented group of senior bowlers include regional title holders Dave Huart, Mel Cowen, and Max Epps.
"I enjoy mixing with the fans and playing this competitive sport," said Bourdase.
The fee will be $20 for a guaranteed three games, each with a different senior pro. Trophies will be distributed to the highest scoring senior, adult, and junior.
"Bowling is fun for the entire family regardless of age," commented West Valley Bowl league coordinator Cindy West. "This is bowling at its best."
The west Valley Bowl is a newly renovated, state-of-the-art bowling alley. It features 32 solid wood lanes and a family friendly environment. West invites all to rub elbows with and bowl a turkey against the senior pro bowlers.
