The Delta Mustangs started game one right, as Alicia Karver scored the first point against DeAnza College. In the middle of game one, Delta took the lead, 23 to 14. At the end of the game there is one foul against Delta, who win 30 to 17.

Delta served first for game two and scored a point, courtesy of Rasmussen from the Mustangs. Amy Vanni served first for DeAnza. The teams tied during the middle of game two. Delta won 30 to 22 with two fouls.

DeAnza had the first serve of game three. Vanni scores the first point. At this time, Delta was struggling and let DeAnza start in the lead. Then Delta steals the lead during the middle of the game and wins again, 30 to 22.

"It was a great game," says new coach, Brad Freisen. He feels that the team didn't serve very well, but says, "It's good to know what the team needs to work on."

As we talked to the new freshmen, Sandor and Rasmussen of the Mustangs felt that the team did a great job. They are both looking forward to going to San Diego to play in a volleyball tournament this year.

Sandor and Rasmussen think their toughest opponent is SacCity.

Sandor is from Lincoln high school and Rasmussen is from Linden high school. They both played a great game and are looking forward to playing this way the rest of the year.
