Eli Rimes, of the Delta Mustangs' baseball team, was named to the First Team All Bay Valley for the position of first baseman.

Rimes batted fourth in the lineup and finished the season with a .381 average, which included three home runs and 31 RBI for the Mustangs.

Two of their pitchers were named for honorable mentions: sophomore pitcher Brett Bruneel, who had a record of 7-4, and a 3.80 ERA, and freshman pitcher Owen Simmons, who had a record of 4-3, and a 3.60 ERA.

Men's basketball

Sam Kirby, Delta basketball's guard, signed a letter of intent to play for the Seattle University Redhawks.

"They got a great player, and a great leader," said head coach Brian Katz.

Kirby started as the Mustangs' star shooting guard, who traveled to the state's Final Four last season.

"Their program is (only) going to go up," said Katz.
