Men's swimming team finishes undefeated, while women split 4-4. Erin Pritchard and K.C. Drake swim for new school records

The Delta men's swimming team finished their season 8-0, while the women's team, settled for a 4-4 season, and two Mustangs ended the BVC with dashing performances, Friday, April 15.
Erin Pritchard swam for a new Delta record as she jetted through the 50-meter breaststroke in 30.39 in a one-point loss against the Pirates.
K. C. Drake also recorded a new school record as he finished the 400 individual medley with a time of 4:19.63.
Delta will host the BVC swimming championships in two weeks, April 28-30, which will include 13 teams.

Brett Bruneel pitched a complete game, striking out six at the plate and walking three, as the Mustangs held on for a one-run victory, Wednesday, April 13.
John Precissi belted a three-run homer in the top of the eighth inning as Delta defeated Marin 4-3.
At Diablo Valley, the Mustangs fell to the Vikings after a two-out error where Diablo Valley scored five unearned runs, Thursday, April 14.
Delta's starter was pulled in the third due to an injury. Jim Yanko put in Nick Lott who pitched five and half innings striking out five allowing two runs.
Eli Rimes led the Mustangs, going 5-5 with a double, Precissi went 2-4 with a double, Paul Bassi went 2-5 including two doubles and two runs.
Mustang's Ernie Lopez held the Mustangs pitching a complete game after five errors were committed by Delta, Monday, April 18. He threw 94 pitches, only giving four hits, walking two and beaming five.
Mike Bently went 3-4, Jesse Miguel went 2-2 with a RBI and stolen base, and Riley Gavello went 2-4 with a run and a double as Delta beat Mendocino 4-3.
Golf
Delta took the eighth Bay Valley Conference Tournament at the Napa Chardonnay G. C. shooting 383, but right behind them was Sierra who shot a 398, Thursday, April 14.
Ross Valinskas shot a two-over par 74, Kyle Culling shot a 76, Jason Foosum had a 77, Josh Harrison shot a 78, had a Joey Ferrari 78, and Steve Meyer came out with an 80.
