Teachers have important responsibilities and one of them is to be on time to their classes, but there is a problem at Delta that could affect that responsibility. There is no special parking for teachers.
Delta has 19,000 students and the capacity for cars in the parking lot is not enough for all the students, teachers, and staff. But why isn't there special parking for teachers?
"Maybe there are too many teachers," teacher A said.
"Maybe a long time ago that was not an issue," teacher B said.
The exact reason for why there is no special parking is not known.
"I spend at least 20 minutes trying to find parking," teacher A said. "When I have class at 9 a.m., I come at 8:30 to be on time," teacher A added.
Teachers always are carrying things such as books, papers, bags, and all the equipment they need to perform their job the best they can. Teachers have a hard time finding parking.
"We waste time waiting for a parking space; we need that time for preparation," teacher A said.
Teachers would have more time to be prepared for class if they had special parking for them.
Teachers are the main tools for student learning. They are an essential part of a school. Without teachers there would be no schools. Teachers are important; why not give them the facility of something simple and necessary as a parking lot to demonstrate how important they are. There are other ways to demonstrate they are important but solving this simple problem is a good start.
