The reopening of the Shima Corral was of many things discussed at the ASBG meeting on Jan. 31.

There was talk about starting a car pool website so students can car-pool to Delta together and save time on parking. "I would make a website where they post what city they live in and what hours they need to get to school. They could also exchange emails," said Fatih Aybar, ASBG Webmaster.

"It would probably lower the horrendous parking in the morning," ASBG President Carmen Avitia said.

"I cant reveal their addresses because of privacy, but they would they need to enter their own information, and be required to post the city where they live," Fatih Aybar said.

There was also talk about wireless internet on campus. "Last semester they said it was supposed to start the first of the year and I have not seen anything," Arrikka Rin said.

"One of the teachers told me that it's up now but they are having problems with identifying the wireless networks on campus. It's there, but it's just not set up right," said Lindsay Noriega.

How and when to open the Shima Corral was also discussed. Last semester the rule was that students needed to show their student ID to enter. There were many ideas but the board could not come up with an idea everybody would agree on. "What we could do for now is write down ideas, that way when we come to the next meeting we have more of an idea on what we want to do," Elliot Castro said. The next ASBG meeting is Feb 7 at 2:30 p.m. in Shima 101.
