The lady Mustangs Volleyball team went up against Solano, Friday, Nov. 12th at Delta. The communication and dedication of Delta's team was amazing.

In the first game, Breanne Zellmer grew wings and took major air, slamming the ball with immense power. Sarah Buhr dove to save the ball, and popped it back up, but seconds later Jasmine Moore, from Solano, scored on Delta. On the very next serve, Moore laid down another point for Solano. Jennifer Emerson found Solano's weak spots and used them to her advantage, placing the ball right in the middle of Solano's players, and Solano not reacting at all.

Katie Hoag made a huge save by diving for the ball, which resulted in a point for Delta, final score of game one, 30 to 13, Delta.

With little time wasted, Katie Hoag scored the first point in game two for Delta, showing Solano that they weren't going to back off an inch. Early in game two, Solano were hurting themselves with two serves hitting the net, and multiple shots being hit way out of bounds. Buhr and Cindy Stayton showed awesome defense by blocking three direct spikes, and sending the ball zooming back to Solano's side.

Emerson scored another great soft shot, throwing off Solano's defense. When it came to Delta's spiking abilities, Solano couldn't keep their defense up or the ball from hitting the ground. Zellmer stunned Solano with her powerful spike, leaving Solano standing frozen. A minute later, the referee called Buhr and Rachael Heintz to tell them that he had been hearing trash talk, and that he wanted it to stop. A comedic display was made by Buhr, Emerson, and Hoag as they passed the ball to each other, confusing Solano, and then going in for the kill.

Emerson placed a delicate shot and scored, making it seem like she had Solano in her pocket. Hoag kept the energy going by spiking the ball and breaking two of Solano's defenders. Moore was having a real hard time keeping the ball in bounds, hitting the ball out twice. Final score of game two was 30 to nine, Delta.
