At the ASBG's weekly meeting, during comments from the public, supervisor of student activities David Ferrell brought in Officer Greenwood from the Delta Police to talk about the problem with students hanging out in the quad area and the West Forum. During past ASBG meetings there has been talk about groups of students harassing female students as they walk to classes and when the Inter Club Council uses the West Forum.

"Everybody seems to have their own favorite spot to hang out at and sometimes they do get out of control and sometimes we do have to deal with it,." Officer Greenwood said.

"I hear a lot from groups of people and they say they try to avoid the quad at all times," ASBG treasure Kristie Hess-Shipman said.

"Harassment is not tolerated, if there is a problem we may contact these people, find out what the story is, and run a check on them to see if they have had problems in the past," Officer Greenwood said.

Other items discussed were the Delta baseball team's golf event on Friday; students can participate. ASBG President Carmen Avitia suggested sending a campus email to the students to inform them about it.

Another item discussed was the steps in the Budd building.

"Me and Kim noticed the stairs by 219 to the upper floor, and we stopped to look at it. It's really messed up and it's a matter of safety and I think we should send a letter about it. I think it's really important because somebody could get and show it to them.

At the meeting, the board also talked about their conference in Los Angeles.

Avitia showed the award they received during the conference.

"After being at this conference with you guys, I did realize that I would not trade you guys for anybody. Each of every one of you teaches me something. I love you guys," Lindsay Noriega said.

The next ASBG meeting is November 15, at 2:30 p.m. in Shima 101.
