As Nov. 2 draws nearer, more and more incidents are occurring involving digging up dirt, so to speak, on the opposing candidate.
John Edwards recently accused President Bush's campaign of advertising false information on ads appearing on television. These ads apparently are giving false information on John Kerry's service in the Vietnam War, and also on some of his health care reform plans.
Edwards spoke at a Democratic rally at Victory Park, in New Hampshire. "They will absolutely lie about anything," he said.
Edwards spoke on health care reform, saying that the plan is to strengthen the existing plans, rather than create new ones.
"There's not a single new government program in our health care plan," Edwards said.
Edwards also spoke the Bush's attacks on Kerry's service in the military, and the portrayal of Kerry in support of al-Quada, and Saddam Hussein. Edwards emphasized these points are not true.
Edwards even went so far as to criticize Bush on the questions which have been arising about Bush's early withdrawal from the Texas Air National Guard.
Kerry "is the one candidate who's actually led troops in battle," said Edwards.
Edwards stated that during this campaign, Bush and Dick Cheney have continually presented false information.
Edwards is claiming it to be draining to our troops, and the taxpayers, to have a campaign with so much false information. Whether or not everything is true or false, there are likely to be more of this type of report going on soon especially since the poll numbers came very close again after the debates. Surely there will be more information presented in the weeks to come.
