Vandalism and trash plague the campus
Due in part to a reduced janitorial staff, Delta's campus is slowly filling with trash

Graffiti on the walls of the restroom stalls, trash thrown on the ground of Danner Hall, and cigarette butts thrown all over the grounds are commonplace. Many bathrooms are completely dirty and impossible to use. They lack toilet paper and seat covers, but if they have such things, they are scattered over the floor. Toilets are full of paper and urine is deposited in the garbage can.
"I have never seen unhealthy restrooms as in this campus," said former student Chiu Fan Yeung.
"Yes, I think the campus could be cleaner, but it's more about responsibility than the shortage of workers in custodial services," explained Jeff Wynn part of Delta's Health and Mobility Office.
"I would equip the workers on the campus with squirt guns filled with permanent ink. Every time a person is observed littering or spitting, hit them with a stream of ink on those $100 pair of Nikes or squarely in the middle of that team jersey," commented Wynn when asked how to prevent littering.
The condition of the campus is completely unacceptable Yeung added.
The most affected buildings in campus are Cunningham and Locke. Trash cans are not emptied and trash falls out when garbage is added. There are dirty halls and stairwells as well as graffiti and spiderwebs on walls.
"The only bathrooms I go are in Administration building because they are clean and a lot of students or teachers do not use it," said Delta student David Quezada.
Quezada said that it is repulsive to go to the normal restrooms, because they look as if they have not been cleaned for a week.
